Ajda

About

I’m Ajda — French-American, based in New York, and the voice behind Ajda NYC.

My perspective on luxury was shaped early by contrast. I grew up with European ideas of discernment, quality, and living with pieces for a long time, while building my adult life in the U.S., now specifically in New York — a city defined by pace, access, and constant choice. That tension continues to inform how I think about handbags, personal style, and what it actually means to own something well.

Ajda NYC began as a way to slow the conversation around luxury. To acknowledge but not chase trends or accumulation, but to focus on design, longevity, and the lived experience of ownership — what earns its place over time, and what doesn’t. Through essays, long-form video, and visual storytelling, I share analysis and perspective grounded in real use, not just first impressions.

Alongside my editorial work, I’m the founder of La Lignée, a curated vintage luxury handbag marketplace launching in 2026. La Lignée brings together trusted vintage boutiques from around the world into a single destination, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, provenance, and long-term value. It’s a natural extension of the ideas explored here — thoughtful consumption, respect for what lasts, and bringing vintage lovers together.

This space is for those who want context before buying, clarity before collecting, and a more intentional relationship with the things they choose to live with.
